The number of times a user takes a Cognitive Check-In will depend on your goals, the duration of your program, and whether the battery is intended as screening or evaluation in a healthcare or community setting, research trial, or real-world setting.
If you are receiving Medicare reimbursement for BrainHQ as a cognitive assessment aid, users should complete their Cognitive Check-In at least once every 8 weeks.
If you are using Cognitive Check-Ins within a large-scale residential community or population study evaluating longitudinal change, then administer the Check-In once annually or semi-annually.
If you are using Cognitive Check-ins in a clinical trial to assess target engagement or efficacy, administer the Check-In a minimum of twice, once at baseline before the first training session and another at post-intervention after the last training session, to evaluate task-specific learning or change attributable to the intervention.
If you are using Cognitive Check-Ins for screening in a clinical or research context, then administer the Check-In only once.
If you are using Cognitive Check-Ins as ecological momentary assessments of cognitive fluctuations, then administer daily or multiple times a day.
