This article will cover the three ways a group member may be licensed, which are covered in the following sections
NOTE: This is the legacy version of our Group Portal. A legacy group can no longer be created. Additionally, current legacy groups will be migrated to the new group format soon. These articles are to support existing legacy groups until they have been migrated to the new version.
Start by going to the group portal page at portal.brainhq.com and logging into a group administrator account.
Applying Group Licenses
Available group licenses can be assigned to specific users. If you have not already purchased group licenses, please refer to this article. Adding a license to a user’s account will give them access to the content on the BrainHQ website to train.
Click on the yes/no switch to add a license on a user account.
Users that are listed as “yes” have a license currently assigned to their account. Users that are listed as “no” do not have a license assigned to their account, and will have very limited access to BrainHQ.
When a new account is created through the portal, the account will be automatically assigned a license if there are licenses available.
Purchasing a Personal Subscription
Group members who do not already have a group license may purchase their own personal subscription by logging into their account. The group member will need to follow the normal consumer purchase process. For more information, please refer to the article titled "How to subscribe to BrainHQ."
Group members who have purchased their own personal licenses will appear as "Licensed" in the licensed column in the group portal.
If you would like to add a person to your group who already has a BrainHQ account, you will need to make a support request. If their account already has a personal license, they will appear as "Licensed" in your group.
Applying a Gift Code
Group members who do not already have a group license may have a gift code applied to their account. Gift codes may be purchased either by group admins or independently by group members.
For a group admin to apply a code to a group member, the group admin must first either login to the group member's account or impersonate the group member by clicking on their name. In the example below the group member's name is "Demo User"
Once in the group member's account, the admin must redeem the gift code for the account. For more information, please refer to the article titled "How do I redeem a gift subscription?"
A group member may also redeem their own gift code by following the instruction in the article titled "How do I redeem a gift subscription?"
Group members who have a gift code license will appear as "Licensed" in the licensed column in the group portal.
If you would like to add a person to your group who already has a BrainHQ account, you will need to make a support request.
